Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurses to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting. The role involves managing adult emergency cases, including critical care and respiratory interventions, while adhering to hospital standards and protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care to adult patients, including triage, medication administration, and disease management.
• Manage central lines, perform phlebotomy, and implement isolation precautions as needed.
• Monitor cardiac activity, interpret ABGs, and respond to arrhythmias and other emergent conditions.
• Oversee ventilator and respiratory support, including CPAP/BiPAP and sedation management.
• Document care accurately in EPIC, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and standards.
• Float within pediatric and fast-track units as required, maintaining skill proficiency and patient safety.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active NJ or Compact RN license at the time of submission.
• Possess a minimum of 1.5 years of recent adult ED experience.
• Certified in ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS, and ITTC De-escalation Training.
• Demonstrate proficiency in central line care, ventilator management, and cardiac monitoring.
• Experienced in triage, IV therapy, and strict infection control protocols.
• Able to work night shifts and fulfill holiday on-call requirements.
