This role is integral to ensuring the delivery of a high-quality educational experience that aligns with institutional goals, accreditation standards, and industry demands. Lead and manage all aspects of the Cardiac Sonography (Echocardiography) program, including curriculum development, faculty oversight, and accreditation compliance. Supervise and support instructional staff in both classroom and clinical settings to ensure effective teaching and learning practices. Oversee program planning, development, evaluation, and continuous improvement to maintain academic excellence. Ensure compliance with institutional, federal, state, and programmatic accreditation standards, maintaining the highest levels of regulatory adherence. Facilitate advisory board meetings to align the program with current industry standards and employer needs, fostering stakeholder engagement. Collaborate with campus leadership to review and enhance student outcomes, including completion rates, job placement, and employer feedback. Participate in the recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding of new instructional staff, ensuring alignment with program goals and standards. Support student recruitment efforts during enrollment periods and monitor student success in both in-person and online learning environments. Conduct or oversee student orientation and in-service training for faculty to ensure alignment with program objectives. Assist in developing the academic calendar and maintain accurate student and employee records in coordination with the registrar. Bachelor’s degree (required). Minimum of 3 years of teaching or occupational experience in cardiac sonography or a related field. At least 2 years of full‑time experience as a registered sonographer, demonstrating advanced technical expertise. Proven experience in curriculum development and educational program assessment, with a focus on continuous improvement. Strong knowledge of accreditation and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance and program integrity. Certified, registered, and/or licensed in cardiac sonography or a related field, in accordance with state and accrediting body requirements.
