As a Security Officer in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Security Professional supporting a financial institution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help deter security-related incidents, manage access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors while contributing to a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity and delivers through teamwork.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, lobby areas, and other designated locations; verify visitor authorization and support established entry-control processes.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help identify unusual activity or security-related concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality around sensitive financial operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
