Job Description AECOM is seeking a Traffic Monitoring Specialist / Dispatcher / Call Center to be based in Detroit, MI . This is for an overnight shift (9pm - 5am) with weekends and some holiday hours required. Position Details: Position is based out of client location near downtown Detroit, MI. Updating, and responding to scheduled and unscheduled traffic events and congestion with devices such as closed-circuit camera TV systems/ cameras, detectors, etc. Act like an emergency dispatcher within a call center environment dispatching responders via a two-way radio system to assist motorists, respond to events and other activities that require timely and efficient responses. Perform data entry functions. Ability to fluently work in multiple PC applications simultaneously. Possess exceptional organizational skills to effectively prioritize multiple tasks in real time and in potentially serious situations. Possess exceptional communications skills both in written & verbal forms to effectively receive, document & relay information from numerous sources. Works under direct supervision performing moderately complex technical work utilizing instructions, examples, and results from computer systems. Perform critical thinking functions and assessments and make decisions based upon circumstances. 24/7/365 Environment Qualifications Minimum Requirements: High School + no experience Background and drug/alcohol screening required Willing to work 24/7/365 operation - must be willing to work outside of standard business hours Preferred Qualifications: 2 or more years of experience of surveillance and or CCTV monitoring Strong attention to detail Customer/Client relationship experience Ability to multi-task Additional Information Sponsorship is not offered for this position At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
