Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (ER)

Location: Maryville, TN
Local Pay: $45 - $47/hour (W-2)
Travel Pay: $50 - $56/hour (Including Stipend)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift (3x12 Hours)
Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Hours: 36 Hours Per Week
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend (Subject to Facility Needs)
Floating: May Be Required Based on Staffing Needs

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dynamic healthcare team in Tennessee. The ideal candidate will have recent Emergency Department experience, strong critical-thinking abilities, and the capability to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess, triage, and prioritize patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries

• Deliver safe, effective, and evidence-based nursing care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting

• Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes in status

• Administer medications, treatments, and intravenous therapies according to physician orders and facility protocols

• Perform emergency interventions and assist during trauma, cardiac, and critical care situations

• Operate and document medication administration using Omnicell

• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in EPIC

• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and healthcare teams

• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, discharge instructions, and follow-up care

• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and infection control procedures

• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

• Float to other units as needed based on patient care requirements

Requirements

• Active Tennessee Registered Nurse (RN) License

• Minimum 1 Year of Recent Emergency Room (ER) Experience

• Minimum 1 Year of EPIC Documentation Experience

• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and emergency response skills

• Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity environment

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)
