Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments and develop personalized treatment plans that address the psychological and social needs of clients.

• Lead individual, group, and family therapy sessions, facilitating discussions that empower clients and promote coping strategies.

• Actively collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team to coordinate comprehensive patient care and ensure consistent follow-up.
\n
• Act as an advocate for clients by researching and connecting them with community resources, such as housing assistance, employment support, and healthcare services.

• Effectively respond to crisis situations, employing skills to de-escalate tense circumstances, especially in cases of mental health emergencies.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and treatment plans, adhering to agency standards and regulatory requirements.
\n
• Monitor progress and adapt treatment strategies as necessary, ensuring the effectiveness of interventions and supportive measures.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The LCSW will primarily work with adults experiencing substance use issues and co-occurring mental health disorders. Given the unique challenges faced by individuals in detox settings, including withdrawal management and mental health crises, your support will play a vital role in promoting recovery and rehabilitation. Experience working with Veterans is particularly valued, as some of our clients may have a military background and specific psychosocial needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required.

• A current and valid California BBS Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) certification is mandatory.

• A minimum of two years of experience in a behavioral health setting, specifically focusing on mental health and case management.

• Proficiency in assessing psychosocial histories and developing therapeutic interventions tailored to individual client needs.

• Strong skills in family systems therapy, group dynamics, and crisis intervention techniques.

• An understanding of local community resources to effectively advocate for client support.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience with forensic assessments and suicide risk evaluations is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems for documentation and tracking client progress.

• Previous work with addiction recovery populations is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n
