Instrumentation and Controls Engineer

We’re seeking an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to join our Latham, New York team. In this role you’ll contribute to projects that power the core operations of our clients, including cutting‑edge semiconductor manufacturing and advanced research facilities. As part of a collaborative, multi‑disciplinary team, you’ll help design and optimize control systems for a variety of processes, working closely with architects, engineers and designers to deliver complete, world‑class solutions for new facilities. Your responsibilities include developing P&IDs, sizing valves, specifying instrumentation, panel design, I/O assignments, documenting and modeling design information while ensuring compliance with building codes and industry standards. Our group is recognized as one of the leading design teams in semiconductor facility design, delivering innovative solutions that enable the next generation of technology. This position offers hands‑on experience and expert mentorship to help you grow your technical skills and understanding of process control, instrumentation and automation. Qualifications At least 8 years of work experience designing Instrumentation and Control Systems Working knowledge of PLC, PAC, DDC, DCS systems Ability to work onsite (hybrid) in Latham, NY Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer in Training (EIT) Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi‑disciplinary teams Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Forward‑thinking, eager to learn best practices and contribute with innovative ideas Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills Passion for buildings and construction Benefits Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you and the things you care about—your health, your well‑being, your security and your future. Pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience and relevant education or training.
