PARKING ENFORCEMENT OFFICER I

Job Overview Beginning level traffic control work in the enforcement of parking ordinances and in the regulation of parked vehicles; and related work as required. Shift work: The Parking Control Unit operates seven (7) days a week on an extended schedule. Personnel must be available to work any shift or any of the seven days of the week. Wearing a uniform is required. Key Responsibilities Enforce parking ordinances and regulate parked vehicles. Operate a twelve‑passenger van as required. Qualifications High School graduation or G.E.D. Equivalency Diploma* Possession of a valid Driver's License* * Prior to appointment, the hiring agency is required to verify education and driver’s license claimed by the applicant to qualify for this classification. If selected for hire, applicants must provide original documents of their qualifying credentials to the hiring agency prior to their start date. A qualifying written test is required.
