This position at Little Friends is dedicated to providing a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for children during the aftercare program. This role involves organizing recreational activities, and fostering a positive atmosphere that promotes holistic development and a lifelong love of learning. Working within a medium-sized team, the teacher will report to the Operation Manager and Director, contributing to a program that values diversity, inclusion, and child-centered education.

 

Responsibilities

• Supervise children to ensure their safety and well-being
• Manage and guide behavior to maintain a positive environment
• Monitor and maintain safety protocols during program hours
• Assist children with learning activities
• Organize and lead recreational and creative activities
• Collaborate with team members to support program goals
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff

 

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years experience in early childhood education
• Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
• Background check clearance
• DCF certification
• Strong knowledge of child development principles
• Skills in classroom management
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

 

Additional Information

• Part of a medium team (4-6 members)
