About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Mindlance Health to find a qualified Telemetry RN in Meridian, Idaho, 83642!

ID: 78147104 Shift: 12H Days 7a-7p, weekends as needed, first to float Description: Unit : Telemetry | RN- Unit: Tele- # Beds: 27 will be adding 10 more beds in June.- Ratios: 1:4- Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS- Common diagnosis: CHF, NSTEMI, STEMI, Stroke, Sepsis, Diabetes, CAD, Renal Failure, Respiratory Failure, Pneumothorax, post cath lab patients- will not pull sheaths but would ideally have experience with TR bands and Fem stops.- Experience: Must have 2 years experience as a Tele nurse. Must have cardiac drip experience (see below), NIH stoke assessment experience, post cath recovery and chest tube experience.- Are RN's required to titrate drips: No- Common titratable: Will commonly see set rate diltiazem and amiodarone. No epi or nitro on this floor.- Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit: Tele techs on floor until June, then they will centralize off site.- RNs required to read and interpret: Will read and document every 6 hours. Currently using SpaceLab monitors, transitioning to Philips.- Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: Yes we have both- will not take patients.- Are there Nurse Aides on this unit/Ratios: Yes 1:8/9.- RT/Equipment: CPAP, BiPAP, high flow- RT will manage.- Shifts & Scheduling: 0700-1930 and 1900-0730. We place travelers in needed slots, try to work with their requests but priority is meeting needs. We do allow for trades with peers. We do not do block scheduling.- Weekend Requirements: Yes travelers will fill in the needs.- Holiday Requirements: Yes travelers fill in needs.- Is there Call or a Standby requirement: No.- Floating Requirements: Will float to like units and Med/Surg at times. May also float to Boise Medical Center and Nampa Medical Center to like units and MedSurg if needed. May also float to ICU if experienced.- Scrub Color: Any as long as they are clean, well kept, and professional.- Department Specific Orientation: System onboarding then 2 orientation shifts.**This facility has a radius rule of 50 miles.
