Territory Sales Representative

Overview The Territory Sales Representative closes sales through face‑to‑face interaction with customers within assigned sales territories. They meet with potential and existing customers to present sales proposals and inform them of product benefits and features. The Retail Sales Representative plays a key role in increasing distribution and display activity by managing and negotiating with clients, researching sales competition, qualifying prospects, and managing sales of products and services. Bonus You will be eligible for a bonus of $1,250 after 6 months of continuous active employment, and an additional $1,250 after 1 year of continuous active employment. Responsibilities Conduct professional product presentations to current Retail customers Stimulate market growth through new distribution and coverage in independent Retail C‑Stores that are supplied by cash & carry and c‑store distributors in assigned geography Evaluate customers’ skills, needs and build productive long‑lasting relationships Achieve sales goals and brand building presence and merchandising Attend meetings, sales events and trainings to keep abreast of the latest developments Assist customers with ordering information and configurations; provide quotations on customer requirements and appropriate follow‑up Utilize iPad technology for reporting all inventory/sales made daily and weekly Perform any other appropriately related duty as requested by the Sales Manager Be able to drive a company van (Ford Transit, Connect or similar) throughout the work day Manage cash and client product inventory Must have a valid driver’s license—no CDL necessary Ability to follow navigation/directions, communicate, and solve customer challenges that might arise Physical Requirements Be able to bend/stoop/squat/kneel throughout the workday Be able to push/pull/reach/twist throughout the workday Be able to lift up to 30 lbs. Be able to push/pull weight up to 50 lbs. Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Must possess strong interpersonal, organizational skills with the ability to work effectively with team members, peers, management and external customer contacts Must be able to read and follow a plan‑o‑gram (POG) Must possess good problem‑solving skills Must be able to use an iPad/Tablet Must have trip planning skills and comfort with driving a commercial van (Ford Transit Connect or similar) Sales or consumer goods experience a plus About Us Acosta, and its subsidiaries, is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
