Physician - Ketamine (New York)

Vivo HealthStaff is recruiting for a physician or nurse practitioner in New York. This is a per-diem position.

Position: Physician or Nurse Practitioner Location: New York (Telemed + in-office); Or Telemed Schedule: Per-diem, flexible scheduling Setting: Outpatient ketamine clinic

Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced and licensed medical doctor or NP to support the administration and oversight of ketamine therapy sessions. The ideal candidate will have experience in integrative or functional medicine, a strong understanding of mental health conditions, and comfort in supervising IV infusions or intramuscular ketamine protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial medical evaluations and determine clinical eligibility for ketamine treatment
• Supervise and/or administer ketamine infusions or injections per clinic protocols
• Monitor patient responses during and after sessions, ensuring safety and appropriate follow-up
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including therapists and nurses
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR
• Participate in quality assurance and clinical team meetings as needed

Qualifications:

• Licensed MD/DO in NY or NP in NY
• DEA license with Schedule III authority preferred
• IV certification and experience with IV therapy highly desired
• Experience with ketamine therapy, integrative psychiatry, or pain management preferred
• Excellent bedside manner, clinical judgment, and team collaboration skills

Preferred Experience:

• Previous work in a ketamine or psychedelic-assisted therapy clinic
• Background in mental health, chronic pain, or integrative wellness
• Comfort with medical oversight in outpatient settings
