Associate Director, Pharmacovigilance (US)

Associate Director of Pharmacovigilance at a global CRO, leading pharmacovigilance projects and teams across clinical development programs. This remote role requires strategic oversight of safety reporting, regulatory compliance, and team management to support clinical research delivery.

Responsibilities

Lead global pharmacovigilance projects and teams ensuring regulatory compliance and quality standards
Provide strategic oversight of staff performance, addressing risks and escalations
Guide teams on complex safety reporting scenarios and sponsor requirements
Partner with leadership to enhance processes and implement operational improvements
Support team development through coaching, training, and recruitment of pharmacovigilance professionals

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in science-related field or nursing
Minimum 8 years global pharmacovigilance experience in pre-approval clinical trials
At least 2 years demonstrated leadership experience managing people or projects
Strong knowledge of global pharmacovigilance regulations and safety reporting requirements
Experience managing budgets, timelines, and cross-functional stakeholder relationships
Proficiency with pharmacovigilance systems, databases, and Microsoft Office applications
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

Compensation: $112,000–$223,000 base
