Physical Therapist I

Schedule: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday; Weekend rotation (1 per month)

Assignment Details:

Requirements:

• License: Physical Therapist [REQUIRED]
• Certifications: BLS - Basic Life Support (within 1 month of hire or transfer [HIGHLY PREFERRED])
• Education: Bachelor's Degree [REQUIRED]

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patient functions by performing formal/informal testing measures to determine skeletal, neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular status.
• Develop a specific treatment regime based on assessment data and patient tolerance, and submit a written treatment regime as part of the authorized plan.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding conditions, alternatives, prognosis, and treatment rationales.
• Provide supervision for Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides according to regulatory standards.
• Maintain documentation of patient progress and treatment response in compliance with policies and regulatory agencies.
• Participate in team conferences and interdisciplinary meetings as appropriate, promoting process improvement and patient care.

Compliance / Notes:

• Mandatory Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) training is required annually per the Exposure Control Plan.
• Employees are required to maintain confidentiality of patient and facility information in accordance with policies and procedures.
