Job Description
Join Our Dynamic PACU RN Team!


- Position: PACU RN
- Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:30)
- Experience Level: 1 Year / First Timers OK
- Floating: Required per unit needs

Key Requirements:
- Must have a vehicle for this assignment
- On-call: Yes (100 hours)
- Weekends: Yes (On Call)
- Special Certifications: PALS, ACLS, BLS

Patient Care Details:
- Expected Ratios: 1:2
- Patient Age Groups: Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics
- Daily Census: Varied

Unit Details:
- Staffing Type: Interdisciplinary Support (IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, etc.)
- Special Procedures:
- Dysrhythmia interpretation
- Vent management
- Pain management (narcotics/analgesics)
- Arterial line management
- Central line management
- EVD/ICP Management


- Equipment Experience:
- Blood product administration
- IV drips (vasopressors)
- Recovery from various anesthesia types (Conscious Sedation, Epidural, General, etc.)

Expectations:
- Must float to other units based on skill sets as required
- Embrace teamwork and patient care excellence

Required Skills:
- End-Tidal CO2 monitoring
- Airway assessment
- Medication reconciliation
- Starting and maintaining IVs

Important Notes:
- Previous Charge Experience: Preferred
- Charting System: Must have experience with Epic
- Orientation Hours: 20
