Overnight Weekend Program Assistant

Overview LOCATION: Phoenix Family Services STATUS: Full Time / Non‑exempt SCHEDULE: Overnight (Friday, Saturday, Sunday Nights 7:00 pm – 7:30 am). Must have the availability to work overnight. College courses related to social services or prior experience in social services preferred. 6 months to 1 year of related experience and/or training preferred. Good organizational, interpersonal, communication, and computer/typing skills. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to write reports and calculate basic figures. Ability to interpret written, verbal, diagrammatic, or scheduled instructions. Ability to handle crisis/emergency situations, provide crisis intervention and conflict resolution. Effective communication with clients and motivation of program participants toward housing goals. Maintain a non‑judgmental attitude when working with clients. Professional and courteous communication at all times. Work independently and show initiative. Eligibility for or possession of a fingerprint clearance card. Bilingual (English/Spanish) desirable. Ability to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays. Service‑oriented interpersonal style with willingness to learn. Excellent attention to detail, procedures, processes, and policies. Pass a criminal background check. Responsibilities Respond to intake queries; collect, record, and analyze documentation and referral sources; select eligible candidates for admission; refer to other programs; manage waiting lists and perform admission procedures. Supervise client prescription administration, record medication logs, schedule and record medical/dental appointments, and coordinate referrals. Oversee client living quarters and property, conduct inspections, maintain furnishings, manage inventories, and supervise client upkeep. Provide oversight of client reception, coordinate social services, prepare monthly service reports, and manage incoming mail. Coordinate client involvement in outside activities such as support groups, church services, and special events. Assist the Program Coordinator, clinical staff, or vocational supervisors with crew oversight and special projects. Provide administrative support, including client database management, IT interfacing, and other special projects. Participate in staff meetings, prayer, and religious activities as part of the work day. Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator.
