Job Description

Job Description

Benefits:

• Studio Use Perks
• Employee discounts
• Wellness resources
• Training & development

Build a full-time massage career inside Columbus's newest integrated wellness club—with the support to focus on excellent care rather than room rent, laundry, booking, or running a solo practice.

Solterra Wellness Club is hiring an Ohio-licensed massage therapist for our founding full-time W-2 team. Coming soon at The Galaxy at Polaris, Solterra brings together movement, recovery, massage, skin health, medical wellness, and resort-style hospitality.

PREMIUM CARE, NOT HIGH-VOLUME TURNOVER

Solterra is building its massage program around thoughtful hospitality and realistic treatment flow. Current scheduling plans reserve approximately 85 minutes for a guest-facing 60-minute massage and 115–120 minutes for a guest-facing 90-minute treatment. These blocks allow time for intake, consultation, changing, documentation, room reset, and an unhurried transition. Therapists are not expected to rush guests through back-to-back appointments.

A TRUE 40-HOUR FULL-TIME ROLE

This position provides 40 scheduled work hours per week. The schedule will combine commissioned massage appointments with approved paid responsibilities that help build and operate the massage program, including required training, meetings, treatment-room preparation, administrative work, client follow-up, events, and pre-opening support. Appointment volume will grow after opening, and some evening and weekend availability will be required.

WHY JOIN SOLTERRA

Solterra provides the shared treatment suites, massage tables, premium linens, laundry, professional products and supplies, booking and payment infrastructure, front-desk support, marketing, and the broader wellness-club environment. There is no room rent.

Our massage philosophy is customized care—not charging guests for generic pressure upgrades. Therapists tailor appropriate techniques and pressure to each guest's goals and collaborate with Solterra's movement, recovery, esthetic, and wellness teams. VOYA professional treatments will be incorporated where appropriate after the relevant protocol, training, and product requirements are finalized.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Deliver personalized massage supporting relaxation, recovery, mobility, pain relief, and stress reduction.
• Conduct thoughtful intakes, evaluate contraindications, confirm goals and pressure preferences, document services, and provide appropriate aftercare within the Ohio massage-therapy scope of practice.
• Maintain clean, calm, organized, guest-ready treatment spaces.
• Create a consistent, resort-style experience that encourages rebooking and long-term client relationships.
• Participate in approved client follow-up, events, education, launch support, and other paid responsibilities within the massage program.
• Collaborate with Solterra's movement, recovery, esthetic, and broader wellness teams.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Current Ohio Massage Therapy License in active good standing.
• At least one year of professional massage experience preferred.
• Strong hands-on skills and an adaptable, client-centered approach.
• Professional, reliable, punctual, warm, and hospitality-minded.
• Availability for a consistent 40-hour weekly schedule, including selected evenings and weekends.
• Specialized training in therapeutic, deep-tissue, sports/recovery, myofascial, trigger-point, prenatal, lymphatic, or related modalities is valued, but we will not add unnecessary requirements unrelated to the role.

COMPENSATION AND PERKS

• Full-time W-2 employee position.
• 40% of eligible collected massage-service revenue personally performed. Under Solterra's current opening menu, this equals approximately $62–$98 in service commission per completed massage treatment, depending on service and duration. The VOYA signature treatment remains subject to final VOYA validation.
• $25 per hour for approved required training, meetings, administrative work, pre-opening work, and other assigned non-service duties.
• 100% of guest gratuities.
• Estimated annual cash compensation of $52,000–$92,000 before gratuities, based on a 40-hour schedule and a varying mix of commissioned treatments and paid non-service work. Actual earnings depend on appointment volume, collected revenue, service mix, attendance, and hours worked; bookings and gratuities are not guaranteed.
• Employee discounts, wellness resources, studio-use perks, and training and development opportunities.
• All compensation is administered in accordance with applicable wage and overtime requirements.
