CNC Machinist

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist III to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a highly skilled machinist who enjoys working in a fast-paced job-shop environment where no two days are the same. You will set up and operate large and medium-sized multi-axis CNC mills and lathes, producing prototype, one-off, and low-volume precision components for industries including aerospace, defense, energy, heavy equipment, naval vessels, and tooling. Our team is collaborative, innovative, and committed to delivering exceptional quality to our customers.

Job Type: Direct Hire

Pay: $40 - $45.00 p/h (DOE)

A Day In The Life As a Machinist:

A typical day as a Machinist involves setting up and operating CNC mills, lathes, and mill-turn equipment to produce prototypes, one-off, and low-volume production components to precise specifications. Machinists work with a variety of materials, including steel, aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, and Inconel, while interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions. They perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment to verify dimensional accuracy and maintain tight tolerance. Machinists also troubleshoot machining processes, make program or setup adjustments as needed, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce scrap, and minimize downtime, all while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment

Job Qualifications / What We Are Look For:

We are looking for an experienced Machinist who is comfortable working in a job shop, prototype, R&D, or similar manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have:

• 5+ years of CNC machining experience
• Strong setup and operation experience with multi-axis CNC mills and/or lathes
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and engineering drawings
• Solid understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
• Proficiency with precision inspection equipment, including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and indicators
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively as part of a team
• A strong commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement
