Travel RN Cath LabThis position is for a travel Registered Nurse in a Cardiac Cath Lab. The unit includes 6 holding bays and 2 procedure rooms. The staff consists of a total of 13 members, including full-time, part-time, and PRN positions. Day shifts on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday are the busiest. Full-time staff typically work 12-hour days or longer until tasks are complete. Patient ratios are managed by 4-man teams, with RNs rotating through holding, pre-op, and recovery. The unit utilizes both GE and Philips Cath Lab equipment for procedures. The electronic medical record system in use is Meditech/Merge. There is an on-call requirement, averaging 15 days within a 6-week scheduling period. If short of hours, staff may float to assist in other departments as needed. Common procedures performed include R/L heart catheterizations, peripheral and carotid angiograms/stents, PE/DVT cases, and various cardiac interventions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and be a team player. The department is known for its collaborative atmosphere with minimal drama.
