Rotating shifts include Day (0645-1915) and Night (1845-0715) with weekend requirements of every other weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun) and 1 holiday required.

Job Description

As an ICU Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill adults post-cardiac surgery, including CABG and valve procedures. You will manage complex medical conditions and treatments, such as CRRT/CVVHD, hemodynamic monitoring, and supporting patients with devices like IABPs and Impellas.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult patients in the CVICU.
• Monitor and maintain hemodynamic stability using advanced monitoring techniques.
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform patient assessments.
• Assist with procedures including chest tube insertion and management of ECMO.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Float to other adult ICU or telemetry units as needed based on census.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Current Pennsylvania RN license or compact license required at the time of submission.
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, specifically with cardiac patients.
• ACLS certification required.
• Proficiency in CRRT/CVVHD, hemodynamic monitoring, and care of postoperative heart surgery patients.
