Construction Litigation AssociateDirect Counsel is partnering with a nationally recognized AmLaw 200 law firm to identify a Construction Litigation Associate with 4–6 years of experience to join its Construction Business Unit in Los Angeles.The OpportunityThis is an excellent opportunity to join a sophisticated construction litigation practice handling complex, high-value matters. The ideal candidate will have hands-on litigation experience and the ability to manage matters with a high level of autonomy while working collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.Key ResponsibilitiesTrial preparation and courtroom supportManaging case files with direct responsibilityDrafting and arguing motionsTaking and defending depositionsConducting legal research and drafting pleadings and briefsSupporting settlement negotiations and dispute resolution effortsQualificationsIdeal candidate will have 4–6 years of construction litigation experienceStrong advocacy, legal research, writing, and negotiation skillsExperience with motion practice and depositions requiredPrior exposure to construction, engineering, or architectural matters is a plusInsurance defense experience is a plusHighly analytical, detail-oriented, and well-organizedDemonstrated strong work ethic and professionalismStrong academic credentials from an ABA-accredited law schoolActive and in good standing with the California State BarCompensation & BenefitsSalary Range: $165,000 – $175,000 (DOE)Eligible for an annual discretionary bonusComprehensive benefits package including:Medical, dental, and vision insuranceHSA/FSA optionsShort- and long-term disabilityLife insurance401(k)Paid vacation and sick timeParking or public transportation allowanceEmployee Assistance Program
