Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized perioperative care as a Surgical Technician in the OR, supporting elective surgical procedures across various specialties.Ensure a sterile environment and assist surgical teams during operations to promote patient safety and successful outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
• Assist surgeons and nurses during elective procedures by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field.
• Maintain accurate documentation of surgical procedures and equipment usage.
• Adhere to unit policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols throughout each shift.
• Respond promptly to on-call requests and support team logistics as needed.
• Support preoperative and postoperative patient care based on clinical guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Hold current NBSTA and DORA certifications.
• Possess at least 6 months of recent acute care CST hospital experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in handling OR equipment, including Meditech and CPN systems.
• Have experience with elective surgical procedures such as Ortho, Spine, General, CV, Plastics, GYN, Robotics, Urology.
• Display flexibility and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment.
• BLS certification required; additional preferred skills include experience with orthopedics, spine, or cardiovascular surgeries.
