Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 6 months of Epic experience is required.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is required.

• ASN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Georgia license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

• 12 months gap required between for Part-Time at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

• 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:

• General nursing skills: Trach chare, chest tube management, PIV starts, glucometer, etc.

• Travelers are not expected to care for devices like ECMO, IABP, Impellas, LVADs, fresh open hearts/AAA repairs, TABLO, etc.

• Common drips: Insulin drips, Heparin drips, narcotic drips, paralytic drips, actively titrate vasopressors, sedation drips, cardiac drips, etc.

Required Credentials:

• Traveler will be required to pass an EKG competency exam during onboarding.

• ASN / BSN

Unit/Facility Details:

• Ratios: ICU – 1:1-2 (occasionally 1:3 depending on acuity), PCU – 1:3-4

• Have free parking around campus or can pay to park in parking decks

Shift & Scheduling:

• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend

• On Call, Call Back Requirements: None

• Holiday Requirements: Travelers will work 75% of holidays

Floating Requirements: Will float to all ICU at main - MICU, CCU, CVICU, NICU, PCU and STICU. Will float to ER to care for holds.

7 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
