Surgical Tech - Certified- Part Time

Overview Under the direction of the Director of Surgical Services and a registered nurse, the Surgical Technologist works intraoperatively in the preparation and handling of supplies and equipment to maintain a safe and therapeutic surgical environment for patients. The Surgical Technologist will perform as a team member for the common good of the patient and take responsibility for personal action. Education High school graduate or certification from the National Association of Surgical Technologists. Certifications Certification from the National Association of Surgical Technologists required. CPR certification required (must obtain within two months of hire). Experience One year experience in a main operating room within the last two years preferred. Basic knowledge of scrub role. Handling of instruments, set up, and anticipating surgeon’s needs. Knowledge of autoclaves. Transporting patients.
