Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Evening/Night Shifts | 12-hour and 8-hour shifts as needed | Shift times: 15:00–03:30 or 19:00–07:30 | Weekend and holiday rotation required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to both adult and pediatric patient populations in a high-acuity Emergency Department setting
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, including identification of lethal arrhythmias; passage of a telemetry competency exam is required prior to start
• Float to other units as needed based on departmental staffing requirements
• Participate in weekend and holiday shift rotations
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic electronic health record system

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license required
• Minimum two (2) years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last three (3) years
• BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications required – American Heart Association (AHA) only
• TNCC certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass telemetry competency exam (adult and pediatric) prior to start; passing criteria: 80% or higher, with 100% identification of lethal rhythms on adult exam; travelers have up to three attempts under defined remediation guidelines
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-volume, Level I or academic medical center Emergency Department
• Familiarity with telemetry interpretation including complex arrhythmias and heart blocks
• Experience with trauma nursing in both adult and pediatric populations
