We are looking to hire a Dental Assistant / CustomerService Representative for their Dental Clinic to provide clinical,administrative, and staff support for a comprehensive dental servicesoperation. Schedule: Full-Time | 1.0 FTE What You’ll Do Key Responsibilities Providechairside assistance to the dentist during dental procedures Prepare,sterilize, and organize dental supplies and equipment in accordance withOSHA and clinic standards Takeradiographs as directed by the dentist, when appropriately trained inradiation safety Developand process dental radiographs according to provider orders Assistwith monitoring and maintaining radiation safety procedures and protocols Orderand maintain inventory of dental clinic supplies Interactwith and process dental clinic patients Performtelephone triage and conduct patient interviews Maintaindental laboratory slips Createand maintain dental records in accordance with established protocols and procedures Assistwith monthly reporting and quality improvement activities Ensuresmooth patient flow by promptly checking in patients, communicating nextsteps, and monitoring dental patient flow Verifypatient eligibility and assist patients with enrollment in additionalprograms based on program qualifications Confirmand update patient demographic, insurance, and other required informationin the EMR Collectpayments and comply with the health center’s cash-handling procedures asoutlined by the Finance Department Obtainrequired patient information, including photo ID, insurance card,Medi-Cal, Medicare, and/or Social Security card Performmiscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the Lead Dental Assistant What We Are Looking For Certifications and Experience Certificatefrom an accredited dental assisting program, if certified Proofof completion of a board-approved 8-hour infection control course Successfulcompletion of a California Board of Dental Examiners-approved radiationsafety course 1–2years of experience directly related to the position duties andresponsibilities CurrentBLS certification Additional Skills and Attributes Currentknowledge of and ability to follow comprehensive dental clinicalprocedures and protocols Compensation and Benefits: CompetitivePay Medical,Dental and Vision Insurance HolidayVacation and Sick Leave EmployeeAssistance Program LifeInsurance (Basic + Voluntary) TuitionReimbursement 403(b)Retirement plan with 6% match Ifyou’re a detail-oriented and compassionate professional who enjoys supportingboth patients and dental teams, we’d love to hear from you.
