Role Summary

The Contract Manager will lead day-to-day program execution and contract administration for an anticipated federal program. The role will translate contractual requirements into staffing, schedules, budgets, deliverables, controls, and action plans; coordinate across GSMSG leadership, operations, finance, HR, vendors, and customer stakeholders; and maintain disciplined control of performance, funding, documentation, and risk.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage assigned contracts and work orders from mobilization through performance, modification, renewal, and closeout.

• Translate contract requirements into actionable plans, schedules, budgets, milestones, owners, and reporting requirements.

• Serve as a central day-to-day coordination point among GSMSG leadership, customer stakeholders, personnel, vendors, and support functions.

• Monitor staffing, deliverables, funding, expenditures, invoicing, travel/other direct costs, schedule, performance, and contractual obligations.

• Identify and escalate contractual, operational, financial, compliance, and scope risks before they affect performance.

• Build disciplined program controls, status reporting, action tracking, and decision records.

• Support proposals, modifications, renewals, customer meetings, and follow-on opportunities.

What We Are Looking For

• Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible experience in federal contracting, defense program management, contract management, or comparable complex program execution; 10+ years preferred.

• Hands-on experience with government prime/subcontract relationships, T&M or labor-hour work, budgeting, invoicing, funding controls, and performance reporting strongly preferred.

• Experience supporting DoD, special operations, international/OCONUS, healthcare, logistics, or contingency programs is highly desirable.

• Strong written communication, executive-level stakeholder management, analytical judgment, organization, and follow-through.

• Familiarity with FAR/DFARS, JTR, Defense Base Act, ODC controls, labor-category qualification requirements, and government-contract recordkeeping is advantageous.

• U.S. citizenship required. Active or prior security clearance and PMP/DAWIA/FAC-COR or comparable credentials are advantageous but not required.
