Intake Triage Specialist - Bilingual Spanish/English

Description Job Overview: The Intake Triage Specialist serves as the initial point of contact for new CCO intake referrals, ensuring referrals are processed accurately and timely to support access to services.
This position requires applicants who reside outside of New York City to have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Travel reimbursement is provided. Employees must have access to a quiet, distraction-free work environment, or the ability to work from one of our regional office locations. This job description is not all inclusive and the employee may be asked to assume additional responsibilities as the need arises. Requirements Essential Responsibilities: • Serves as the first point of contact for any new intake referrals for the purpose of initiating the intake process. • Schedules and conducts intake assessments. • Enters all required information into the database and ensures accuracy. • Ensures a smooth transition of individuals to the intake specialist team, following the intake committee review. • Maintains ongoing communication with individuals and families to manage expectations in a professional manner. • Responds to all inquiries and requests with a commitment to addressing and resolving issues within 24 hours to maintain efficient operations and employee/individual satisfaction. • Maintains an up-to-date Outlook calendar to accurately reflect work-related appointments and availability. • Maintains confidentiality and compliance with applicable privacy and data protection standards. • Assists with coverage as needed. • Participates in mandatory staff meetings. • Performs other activities, as assigned, to support overall organization's goals and objectives. Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in a written manner. • Computer software skills. • Ability to organize, schedule, prioritize and utilize time effectively. • Excellent interpersonal skills, confidentiality and professionalism. Required Experience • Prior office experience. • Knowledge of OPWDD/ Social Services programs, preferred.
