Material Handler 2nd Shift

Over 100 years ago, a man named John Thurman Curry started out hauling luggage for travelers from the Parkersburg train station to their homes. He called his company J.T. Curry Transfer, and this was our humble beginning. Now, five generations later and still a family business, we call ourselves Curry Warehouses. Our human resources department provides employees with an App which connects them instantly to a snapshot of everything going on in the company and allows control over much of what happens with them. We utilize a state-of-the-art warehouse management system (WMS). Our innovative storage techniques and processes set standards globally. This is a 2nd shift position.

Schedule is Monday - Thursday 1:00pm - 11:30pm

The following education and experience are necessary for this position:

• High School or equivalent

To do this job you will need:

• Training: Mobile Warehouse Management Software Training (on the job)
• Certification: Forklift certification (on the job)
• Skills: High attention to detail
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Experience: 2 years of forklift experience in a distribution warehouse setting preferred.

Your duties and responsibilities will be:

• Operate Stretch wrapping machine
• Pull and prepare product samples.
• Conduct cycle counts as required.
• Operate debreaking equipment
• Tear down equipment for cleaning.
• Operate a valve-fill bagging machine.
• Palletize bags.
• Weigh and document packages.
• Operate a hydraulic box dumper
• Receive, Store, stage, and ship customer materials using forklift and pallet jacks.
• Record any damage to product, equipment, or building using Damage Report Form and photographs.
• Safe operation of scissor lifts when necessary.
• Proficient use of scanning devices for documenting movement of customer materials.
• Other duties as assigned.
