Job Overview Certified Surgical Tech (CST) – PRN Labor & Delivery at Spartanburg Medical Center, Spartanburg, South Carolina, United States. Working PRN with varied shifts, primarily days or nights as needed. Responsibilities Work PRN (as needed); varied shifts. Collaborate as an allied health professional with the medical team to provide surgical care for labor & delivery patients. Assist under the supervision of a surgeon; facilitate safe and effective conduct of surgical procedures. Maintain operating room environment, ensure equipment functionality, and uphold asepsis and sterile techniques. Apply knowledge of anatomy, surgical procedures, and technology to support the physician’s performance. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology Program accredited by CAAHEP prior to 2022. Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited Surgical Technology Associate Degree program as of 2022. Minimum of two years consecutive scrub experience as a CST. Certification as a certified surgical technologist (CST) conferred by NBSTSA. Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) obtained via American Heart Association. Three or more years of proven experience across all surgical specialties.
