Core Clinical & Floating Requirements

• Delivery Skills: Must be able to catch/transition nurse.
• Leadership: Must be capable of acting as Charge Nurse.
• Floating Expectations: Must be willing to float to other departments to act as a safety companion.
• Preferred Experience: Labor & Delivery experience, including antepartum, intrapartum, preop, circulate, and PACU.
• Nursing Model: Competence in, and a willingness to practice, modified primary nursing.

Required Qualifications

• Licensure: Current Montana (MT) RN License.
• Certifications: * AHA BLS
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - recertification required every 2 years
  • STABLE certification (must have within two years of hire)
• Stroke Competency: Must comply with hyperacute/acute stroke protocols, requiring two hours of initial cerebrovascular disease education within one year of hire and one hour annually thereafter.

• Patient Care: Comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, care planning, and evaluation in collaboration with patients, families, and peers.
