General Production WorkerAs a General Production Worker, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of parts produced with a goal of zero defects. You will monitor material levels within the work cell and request replenishment as needed, while assisting the Production Quality Lead in training new team members.ResponsibilitiesInspect finished parts according to operator instructions, control plans, and required quality checks.Perform visual inspections for defects such as short shots, contamination, burns, and splay throughout the shift.Trim gates, runners, and flash as required.Pack parts according to operator instruction sheets and control plans.Attach correct bar-coded shipping labels to containers, including date, shift, and name, ensuring the label matches the part being run.Assemble returnable packaging as needed for finished parts.Essential SkillsMold and plastic injection molding experienceProcess development knowledgeManufacturing experienceExperience as an operatorPlastics and general labor knowledgeMachine operating proficiencyMust have 1 year of recent manufacturing experienceGood tenure and reliabilityComfortable standing on feet for 12 hoursWhy Work Here?Enjoy competitive pay and paid time off that begins accruing on your first day. The machinery in the back is older, but there are plans to upgrade based on new business opportunities. The work schedule includes 1st shift from 6:30am to 6:30pm and 2nd shift from 6:30pm to 6:30am, Monday through Thursday, with Thursdays scheduled from 6:30pm to 2:00am. Starting October 11th, we are moving to a 3-2-2 schedule.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fraser, MI.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
