Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Operating Room at Mission Hospital's Memorial Campus. The ideal candidate will demonstrate advanced surgical skills and expertise across multiple service lines to provide exceptional patient care during complex procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a wide range of surgical procedures in general, GYN, robotics, neuro, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, burn, and trauma cases.
• Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes.
• Adhere to unit policies, guidelines, and safety protocols to maintain high standards of care.
• Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner electronic health records system.
• Provide patient education and support preoperative and postoperative needs.
• Float to other departments as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of 2+ years of recent OR nursing experience.
• Hold a valid RN license in North Carolina or eligible for licensure.
• Demonstrate broad surgical knowledge with advanced skills in multiple service lines.
• Meet skill level 3 or higher in joint, neuro, ortho, or vascular procedures.
• Exhibit strong communication and team collaboration skills.
• Ability to work a variable schedule with call responsibilities.
