Forklift operator

We are looking for a reliable, safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Hauppauge, NY. In this role, you will play a critical part in our day-to-day warehouse operations-handling incoming inventory, staging product for shipment, and maintaining precision stock control across our facility.

salary: $20 - $21 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

Equipment Operation & Safety

• Operate powered industrial trucks (sit-down, stand-up/reach trucks, and electric pallet jacks) to transport goods safely.
• Perform daily pre-shift equipment inspections (checking hydraulics, brakes, battery/fuel levels) and report maintenance concerns.
• Adhere strictly to OSHA safety guidelines, facility speed limits, and wear required PPE (steel-toe boots, hi-vis vests).

Receiving, Shipping & Staging

• Unload incoming freight trailers, inspect cargo for damage, and verify shipments against packing slips or bills of lading.
• Pick, stage, and secure outgoing orders on pallets or skids using shrink wrap, banding tools, or strapping equipment.
• Load delivery vehicles and common carrier trucks accurately according to weight and route distribution.
