Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst

A Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst will implement Applied Behavior Analysis programs for clients in home, school, or clinical settings and train RBTs under the direction of a BCBA. Assistant Behavior Analyst positions are available across the Brevard County area, including Mims/Titusville, Cocoa/Merritt Island, Rockledge, Cape Canaveral/Satellite Beach, Viera/Melbourne, West Melbourne/Palm Bay, and Indian Harbour Beach/Melbourne Beach. Education Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in early childhood education, development, special education, psychology, or a related field (Required) License BCaBA certification by the BACB, in good standing (Required) Previous experience in supervision (Preferred) Requirements Current and maintain BCaBA certificate (on file) Valid automobile insurance and registration (on file) Reliable means of transportation and a valid Florida Driver’s License (on file) Obtain and maintain current professional liability insurance (Biennial) Pass a criminal background check Maintain CPR certification (every 2 years) Maintain HIPAA compliance training (annual) Brevard Public Schools Contractor Badge (Preferred) Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities A minimum of one year working with children with Autism (ASD), intellectual disability, and/or related neuro‑developmental disorders Commitment to excellence and high standards Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Ability to prioritize and manage workflow Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with team members at all levels Ability to adapt and effectively manage change Ability to understand and adhere to company policies, procedures and practices Proactively seek out training for skills outside individual competency Primary Duties and Responsibilities Develop and monitor individualized behavior management protocols and behavior intervention plans as designed by the BCBA Provide support, instruction, and feedback to families and caregivers regarding managing challenging behaviors and teaching replacement behaviors Review program effectiveness, make recommendations, monitor data collection, and chart progress Maintain established records and files Apply knowledge of psychology and human development, including testing procedures and analysis of results Continuously track data in daily/weekly progress notes, charts, or graphs to ensure treatment effectiveness and revise procedures as needed Submit weekly progress notes for each client covering goals and behavior graphing Report cancelled appointments directly to the supervising BCBA and Business Administrator Assist with skills assessments and functional behavior assessments Maintain and keep track of individual schedules Job Details Job Type: Contract Job Schedule: Full-Time/Part-Time Salary: $30 to $45 per hour based on experience If you are passionate about working with children diagnosed with Autism, Down Syndrome, and/or related disorders and committed to ABA excellence, this is the job for you.
