Accountant

Ideal Software Systems, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and organized candidate, who is an excellent multitasker with exceptional communication skills for an accounting position. Candidates can expect to assist with a wide range of duties, including analyzing data, preparing financial reports, and learning about varied accounting activities, and also helping with payroll processing. You should be thorough, accurate, and honest with good accounting skills. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong analytical and mathematical, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The accountant will have the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.

Major Areas of Responsibility
●Maintaining AR and AP accounting records on a daily basis.
●Assist with month-end financial
●Post journal entries
●Help with accounts receivable, payable, and bank statement reconciliation
●Assist with audits
●Reconcile income statement and balance sheet accounts
●Assist the Payroll Coordinator in payroll administration tasks
●Assist with the preparation of yearly closing statements.

Required Skills/Abilities:
●Ability to use accounting software to record, store, and analyze financial data.
●Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs, or similar software.
●Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
●Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar platforms.
●Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
●Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
●Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
●Solid written and verbal communication skills for reporting and team collaboration.
●Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
●Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures.

Education and Experience:
●BS Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
●Minimum of two years of detail-oriented experience in Accounting or Finance preferred.
