Travel Physical Therapist - $2,189 per week

Job Summary Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Physical Therapist for a 20‑week travel assignment in Dunedin, Florida. The assignment begins on 06/15/2026 and requires 40 hours per week on 8‑hour days. Responsibilities Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history. Develop and implement personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Apply various physical therapy techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain. Operate and maintain specialized physical therapy equipment and modalities safely. Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and document interventions accurately. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare team members to coordinate care. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and self‑management techniques. Maintain a safe treatment environment in accordance with infection control protocols and safety guidelines. Participate in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities. Assist in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions for patients to the community or home‑based settings. Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (preferred). Physical Therapy experience; new graduates are welcome. Other certifications or licenses may be required. Essential Skills and Abilities Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication. Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English; ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions. PC skills. Physical stamina to remain in stationary positions, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, and bend. Ability to work effectively with a variety of healthcare personnel and to handle frequent public contact under pressure and irregular schedules.
