We are seeking an experienced and compassionate MDS Director to join our team at Sandgate Gardens Rehab and Nursing Center in Fort Pierce, Florida. As a key member of our healthcare team, the MDS Director will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients while adhering to regulatory requirements.

About the Role:

As the Director of MDS, you will be responsible for administering patient assessments and overseeing the assessment process, setting assessment schedules, and ensuring that assessments are done accurately and in a timely manner. You will coordinate the care plan according to regulatory requirements and ensure that resources are made available to patients and that patient care is delivered effectively and to a satisfactory standard. Additionally, you will create the schedule for all Medicare and Medicaid patients, start Medicare coverage for newly qualified patients or send out denial letters, and stay up-to-date on changes in Medicare coverage and help determine the necessary documents for reimbursement.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing

• Experience: Minimum two (2) years of clinical experience in an LTC setting; prior experience as an MDS Director or Coordinator is preferred

• Skills:

  • Proficiency in MDS 3.0

  • Demonstrating knowledge of state and federal regulations

  • Registered Nurse with current, active license in the state employed

• Compensation: $40 - $46 HOURLY
