Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg (Acute Care) travel assignment in Albany, GA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of specialty experience and at least 1 prior travel assignment.

Details

• Acute care Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting with 44 beds
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
• Patient ratio of 1:5, with the possibility of 1:6 on both days and nights
• CNA support available with a general ratio of 1:8–1:10
• Telemetry is present on the unit but monitored by a separate unit
• Floating required to all acute care areas, cardiology (medical patients), or the EC for acute care patient holds
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required on an as-needed basis
• EMR: MEDITECH (experience preferred but not required)
• 17-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license in Georgia (GA state or Compact license) currently in hand
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications, both issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg or acute care nursing experience
• At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment required
• Driver's License required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility (based on the address on their Driver's License) to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Orientation consists of approximately 1 week of general orientation (including EMR training) followed by 2 days of floor-specific orientation
• Caribbean Blue scrubs required
• Candidates who have been employed by this facility within the last 12 months are not eligible for placement
• Any time-off or scheduling requests must be submitted and confirmed at the time of assignment acceptance
• Albany, GA is a city of approximately 80,000 residents, located roughly 175 miles from Atlanta, 88 miles from Tallahassee, FL, and 134 miles from Shell Point Beach, FL
