Mortgage Business Development Officer

The Mortgage Business Development Officer will be responsible for community outreach and economic development activities and acting as a business development/referral source in moderately complex target market areas.

This role will establish and maintain relationships with community organizations such as activist groups, community agencies, non-profits, and minority groups, while also reaching out to all aspects of community outreach to assess community credit needs and the bank's effectiveness in meeting those needs.

Responsibilities include developing and maintaining a strong referral network of real estate professionals, builders, and other contacts to generate consistent mortgage lending opportunities, supported by active participation in business development and community outreach initiatives. The role also involves responding to customer inquiries and referrals, consulting with prospective borrowers, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of public programs and initiatives, and adhering to the highest standards of professional ethics and compliance with all applicable regulations.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in mortgage loan origination, a solid understanding of federal and state regulatory requirements, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a strong collaboration and customer service orientation. A bachelor's degree is preferred, and active SAFE Act registration and/or Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license is preferred.

The base pay range for this position is USD $70,000.00/Yr. - USD $100,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
