Cardiovascular Surgery - Operating Room Nurse

OR Location: Carbondale, Illinois Schedule: 8:00AM - 5:00PM x 5 Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension Pay Rate: $72 - $77/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a OR for a temporary assignment in Carbondale, Illinois. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a OR:

Float to clinically appropriate units as needed, within scope of practice, licensure, and demonstrated competencies Work day shift in the CVOR with call as required, 8-hour shifts from 0600-1430 Maintain current Illinois Registered Nurse license Maintain current CPR/BLS certification Maintain current ACLS certification Adhere to unit-specific certification requirements based on assigned department (may include PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, NRP, OCN, or fetal monitoring/assessment certifications) Provide nursing care across a variety of clinical settings including CVOR, ICU, PCU, Emergency Department, Cardiac Services, Birthing Center, Mother Baby, NICU, Pediatrics, Medical/Surgical, Acute Rehab, Interventional Imaging, Recovery Room, and Infusion/Oncology units as needed Comply with all applicable licensure, certification, and competency requirements for each unit floated to Demonstrate clinical competencies appropriate to scope of practice and assigned unit
