About the Position

We are seeking a Hospitalist Physician Assistant for an 84-day assignment in Illinois, starting Nov 17, 2026. The schedule involves night shifts, 7 on 7 off, working collaboratively with a physician hospitalist. Responsibilities include managing an average of 10 to 12 acute patients daily, performing hospital rounding, and handling medical clearance and medication reconciliation within a behavioral health unit.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Work 7 on 7 off night shifts, collaborating with a physician hospitalist.
• Manage an average of 10 to 12 acute patients per day.
• Perform hospital rounding, with ICU rounding preferred but not required.
• Conduct medical clearance and medication reconciliation for patients in the behavioral health unit.

• Work site state: Illinois
• EMR system: Epic
• Anticipate managing an average of 10 to 12 acute patients per day.
• The facility census is volatile, ranging from 15 to 30 patients across the physician and APP team.
• Shift hours are 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Primarily an inpatient setting.
