Atrium is seeking on behalf of our client a Sales Representative based in Edison, NJ .

Position: Sales Representative

Location: Edison, NJ

Compensation: $50,000 base salary; $80,000+ on-target annual earnings, including base salary and variable compensation

Position Overview

The Sales Representative will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying and developing new business opportunities within an assigned territory. This role focuses on building strong client relationships, conducting in-person meetings, and managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing. The position collaborates closely with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve performance goals.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within an assigned territory to expand market presence.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers to foster long-term partnerships.
\n
• Conduct in-person meetings, presentations, and sales visits to promote products and services effectively.
\n
• Manage the sales process from initial outreach through closing to ensure smooth transactions.
\n
• Meet established sales goals and performance targets to support company growth objectives.
\n
• Maintain accurate records of prospecting activities, customer interactions, and pipeline progress for reporting and analysis.

Required Experience/Skills

\n
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
\n
• Self-motivated with a goal-oriented approach to achieving results.
\n
• Comfortable with prospecting, networking, and business development activities.
\n
• Willingness and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
\n
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, if required for the role.
\n
• Previous sales experience is preferred but not necessarily required.
\n

Preferred Experience/Skills

\n
• Experience in B2B or field sales environments.
\n
• Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tracking tools.
\n
• Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs.
\n
• Proven success in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
\n
• Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
\n

Education Requirements

\n
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
\n
• Ongoing professional development in sales or customer relationship management is a plus.
\n
• Training in negotiation or consultative selling techniques beneficial.
\n
• Commitment to continuous learning and improvement in sales strategies.
\n
