Music Therapist Contract Role

Enhance the educational journey of students as a Music Therapist working one day per week in a supportive school environment near Spring, TX. This contract role focuses on providing meaningful therapeutic interventions through music to children who greatly benefit from your specialized care. You will have the opportunity to work with a select group of students every other week, facilitating growth and emotional expression through music therapy in an academic setting.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active National Certification as a Music Therapist is required
• Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred
• Ability to tailor sessions for varying developmental and educational needs
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with staff and families
• Capacity to manage a specialized caseload and maintain progress documentation
• Immediate eligibility for district background check and drug screening (fingerprints required)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and group music therapy sessions to approximately 3-4 students per therapy day
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans in collaboration with educational teams
• Document session outcomes, student progress, and maintain compliance with school policies
• Serve as a resource and consultant to staff regarding the integration of music therapy into broader educational goals
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings as needed and share insights regarding student development
