Systems Administrator

Service Specialists is representing a highly respected Mississippi organization that is seeking to add a Systems Administrator to its IT department. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity based in Ridgeland, MS, offering a collaborative team environment, strong leadership, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the organization’s technology infrastructure. Compensation Base salary: Up to $98,000 8% annual cash bonus opportunity What You'll Do Working closely with the IT Manager and broader IT team, you'll support both day-to-day operations and long-term technology initiatives. Responsibilities include: Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows servers, workstation operating systems, and related hardware Support an environment of 300+ workstations and numerous servers across local and remote locations Administer and support VMware, Citrix, Active Directory, Azure, and Microsoft 365 environments Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, security patches, and system updates Monitor system performance and ensure high availability of business-critical IT services Provide technical support, including participation in an on-call rotation as needed Perform workstation deployments, user moves, equipment setup, and technology rollouts Assist with IT planning, process improvements, and technology initiatives Maintain backup, disaster recovery, and system documentation Promote security best practices and ensure compliance with internal IT policies Travel occasionally to support acquisitions, equipment deployments, and remote locations Qualifications include: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience and certifications 5+ years of systems administration or advanced technical support experience preferred Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration, networking, virtualization, and cloud technologies Experience supporting medium to large enterprise environments Hands-on experience with: Windows Server Microsoft SQL Server Microsoft Exchange Microsoft 365 Active Directory VMware Citrix Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills Strong organizational and time management abilities Professional communication skills and a collaborative mindset High level of integrity with the ability to work with confidential systems and information Why This Opportunity?
