Accounts Payable Manager

Accounts Payable (AP) Manager - Skokie, IL

ALIYA Healthcare is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable (AP) Manager to join our corporate accounting team in Skokie, IL. This role supports the continued growth and operational needs of a multi-facility organization by overseeing accounts payable operations and ensuring consistency, accuracy, and efficiency across entities.

This position is ideal for a hands-on AP leader who enjoys managing day-to-day operations, supporting staff, and working closely with accounting and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounts payable activities across multiple facilities
• Supervise and support AP staff to ensure timely and accurate invoice processing
• Review invoice coding and approvals for accuracy and compliance with policies
• Manage check runs, ACH payments, and vendor payments
• Monitor and maintain AP aging reports and payment schedules
• Reconcile vendor statements and assist with resolving discrepancies
• Serve as a point of contact for AP-related questions from vendors and internal teams
• Support month-end close activities related to accounts payable
• Assist with audits and provide documentation as needed
• Prepare reports and analyze AP data using Excel and accounting systems
• Support consistency and efficiency in AP workflows and procedures

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience, preferably in healthcare or long-term care
• Prior management or supervisory experience preferred
• Experience working in a multi-site environment strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and AP processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs
• Experience with accounting systems such as Sage Intacct preferred
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
