Registered Nurse Medical Surgical/Tele

Job Summary:

Provide high-quality care to acutely ill medical-surgical and orthopedic patients in a fast-paced hospital setting. This role involves managing complex diagnoses and administering various IV medications, ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess and monitor patient conditions, including respiratory, cardiac, and post-surgical status.
  
  
• 
  Administer prescribed IV medications such as Heparin and other drips accurately and safely.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
  
  
• 
  Document patient progress and interventions in the electronic medical record accurately.
  
  
• 
  Respond promptly to patient needs, including urgent and emergent situations.
  
  
• 
  Float between multiple facilities as required, maintaining flexibility and patient care standards.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold an active RN license in good standing.
  
  
• 
  Possess at least 2 years of recent medical-surgical and telemetry experience.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system.
  
  
• 
  Pass the required EKG exam with no more than 2 attempts.
  
  
• 
  Have current BLS certification; ACLS and NIH preferred.
  
  
• 
  Be authorized for Tier 2 travel compliance and submit all required documentation.
