Step into an engaging role supporting students at both a high school and an Adult Transition Program, where your commitment and compassion can make a genuine difference. This contract opportunity begins August 24, 2026, and extends through June 10, 2027, offering a steady schedule of 6.5 hours daily, five days a week.
Bring your expertise as a paraprofessional to a diverse learning environment, collaborating with educators and specialists to help high school students and young adults thrive. This varied and rewarding assignment allows you to expand your skills while positively shaping the educational journey for those you serve.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience as a school-based paraprofessional or in a similar supportive educational setting
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with students from diverse backgrounds
- Adaptability and a proactive attitude when assisting within classrooms or on individualized tasks
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and supportive learning atmosphere
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct classroom support to teachers and students, facilitating participation in academic and life skills activities
- Assist students as they transition between high school and adult learning environments, promoting independence and confidence
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and behavior plans
- Foster a positive, encouraging, and safe environment for every learner
