The company has a strong backlog of projects and has won several major healthcare projects.Base Pay - $95k/yr. - $115k/yr. (Eligible for 8-10% Annual Bonus)Location - Can Sit Out of Seattle, WA, San Francisco, CA, or Los Angeles, CASchedule - (Hybrid: Tuesday - Thursday on-site, Monday & Friday Remote)Lead structural design efforts from schematic design (SD) through construction administration (CA) for mid-scale building projects of approximately $20M–$40M and above.Own the structural scope of assigned projects, ensuring design quality, technical accuracy, and alignment with project goals, schedule, and budget.Design structural systems in steel, concrete, masonry, and mass timber for a range of building types, including commercial, workplace, aviation interiors, and other project typologies.Run projects with strong autonomy, independently managing structural design tasks across the full project lifecycle from concept through construction.Oversee and mentor 2–3 junior engineers at a time, providing technical guidance, reviewing their work, and supporting their professional development.Apply strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and jurisdictional requirements to structural designs, ensuring compliance and constructability.Use Revit, AutoCAD, and structural analysis tools to produce and coordinate structural models, drawings, and construction documents.Coordinate closely with architects, MEP, lighting, and BIM teams across 3–5 disciplines to deliver integrated, multidisciplinary designs.Participate actively in a collaborative, design-driven process, contributing structural insight to enhance overall building performance and design quality.Execute projects on schedule and within budget, managing priorities and communicating effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.Resolve complex structural and design issues independently across multiple project phases, from early design through construction.Support construction administration by responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and addressing field issues related to structural design.Contribute to the growth and cohesion of the structural engineering team within a regional hub structure, collaborating with colleagues across multiple offices.Opportunity to work directly with one of the most awarded global A&E firms in Seattle, WA.Collaborative, design-driven team working on impactful healthcare, commercial, and workplace interiors.Hybrid schedule.Exposure to global clients.Long-term project opportunities in a diverse range of other project types.Supportive studio with strong leadership and diverse design challenges.Multidisciplinary environment – work directly with in-house MEP + lighting (not siloed), which leads to stronger designs.Better collaboration – engineers are closely integrated with architects + other disciplines (more impact, less handoff work).Stronger building knowledge – exposure to full building systems vs just structural scope.The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $115000.00/yr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) retirement savings plans Discretionary bonuses Paid time off (PTO) and parental leave Flexible work schedule with remote options on Mondays and Fridays Life, accident, and disability insurance Employee discounts on entertainment and family servicesThis is a hybrid position in Seattle,WA.This position is anticipated to close on Aug 28, 2026.Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
