Position Overview

A private family is seeking a caring, dependable, and responsible nanny to provide attentive care for a 5-month-old infant.

The family divides its time between Manhattan and Mamaroneck, with plans to spend more time in Manhattan in the future. Applicants available to work in both locations are preferred; however, candidates available exclusively in Manhattan are also encouraged to apply.

We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with infants and is interested in developing a consistent, long-term relationship with the family.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, nurturing infant care throughout the day.
• Assist with feeding, diaper changes, naps, and established daily routines.
• Engage the infant in age-appropriate play, interaction, and developmental activities.
• Accompany the infant on walks and occasional family outings.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of infant-related items and spaces.
• Provide occasional assistance with light household tasks, such as laundry, grocery shopping, simple meal preparation, and general organization, as time permits.

Infant care is always the primary responsibility. Additional household assistance is appreciated but is not the main focus of this position.

Qualifications

• Previous experience caring for infants is preferred.
• Patient, attentive, trustworthy, and dependable.
• Comfortable following established family routines and preferences.
• Infant CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Interest in a stable, long-term position.

Additional Information

A parent will generally be present during the initial period to assist with orientation and help the caregiver become familiar with the infant's needs and daily routine.
The family values a calm, supportive, and respectful working environment.

Compensation: $17.00 per hour, with approximately 6–8 hours of work per day. Specific days and hours will be discussed during the interview process.
